According to former White House Communications DirectorAnthony Scaramucci, US president Donald Trump will push for cannabis legalization after the upcoming midterm elections on November 6th 2018.

In an interview with founder Charles Peralo, Scaramucci said “I do. I think he’s going to legalize marijuana,” going on to say, “I think he’s waiting for after the midterms. I think he’s on the side of legalization.”

President Trump also said earlier this year that he was most definitely in a position to support a bipartisan effort to ease U.S. ban on marijuana.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) also spoke of Trumps growing eagerness to explore more cannabis reform. “It could be as early as spring of 2019, but definitely in the next legislative session,” he said in an interview with Fox News. “I would expect after the election we will sit down and we’ll start hammering out something that is specific and real.”
