27-year-old Tyler Dooley is the son of Thomas Markle Jr. That’s the half-brother of the Duchess of Sussex, the former Meghan Markle. The papers all term Dooley “Meghan’s nephew”. He owns a 1,000-acre cannabis farm in his home state of Oregon. This state legalised the drug for recreational use in 2015.

Dooley is planning a new cannabis strain named after the son his aunt recently excreted: Archie Sparkie. He previously created Markle Sparkle, reportedly making him a millionaire overnight. Its slogan was “So strong it will blow your crown off.”

The black sheep makes good

Dooley is proud that, despite being regarded as the black sheep of the family, he has become a successful businessman by “working my ass off to make a living in a very competitive business.” He admitted being Meghan’s nephew was responsible for his making “a lot of money” thanks to the headlines generated by Markle Sparkle. His company, Blue Line Hemp, will expand its Oregon property from 1,000 to 2,600 acres. He claims to be doing more for the environment than Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry. He derided them for constantly going on about their status as “great eco-warriors” while “jetting around on private planes.” His operation, meanwhile, is “organic and sustainable.” Dooley stated that cannabidiol is more potent when grown in Oregon due to the “perfect climate.”

Dooley groused that people portrayed his family as “hillbillies and a freak show”, but he had developed a business “the old-fashioned way – with hard work and lots of sweat.” Tyler and the rest of his family are estranged from Meghan with the exception of her mother, Doria Ragland, the only one invited to Meghan’s wedding. Dooley stayed up all night to watch the wedding on television, with him “glued” to the screen.

Cashing in on Meghan

Meghan’s nephew wasn’t the only member of the family to attempt to cash in on their connection to her. Samantha Markle, her half-sister, was reportedly on the verge of releasing a book, The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister, but thankfully nothing came of that. Her father, Thomas, was paid by the Daily Hate to pose for photographs. Meghan hasn’t spoken to him since.

Dooley disapproves of his aunt and grandfather’s effort’s. They had, he declared, never been “a super tight-knit family … to be honest”, and now the pair had “sold Meghan out”. He remarked that their actions were “embarrassing and sad”.

While he could be termed Meghan’s nephew, Dooley has had no contact with her for three years. She was, however, regularly his babysitter when he was a child. She loved this and impressed him. Last year, he appeared on The Royal World, an MTV reality television show. He came to the attention of the channel after being caught with a knife and pepper spray at a nightclub in Kingston-upon-Thames after midnight on Sunday 20 May, the day after Meghan got hitched. He had boasted of his possession of them as he attempted to gain entry to the club. Police came to speak to him after he had returned to his hotel room. He was warned about his behaviour but went otherwise unpunished.
